USER EXPERIENCE STRATEGIST

About Me // who am I
My name is Rachel Johnson, and I believe that marketing should consist of more than buzzwords; that great strategy should be greater than "strategic," that "innovation" is a way of life, and that being "consumer-centric" is not a mere trend - but a commitment to retaining a sense of humanity in business.
I believe that big ideas should be grounded in reality, and that theory should always be born out of research and experience. I am passionate about the science of pairing the right people with the right product, with the right messaging, at the right time; and I believe that when executed correctly, marketing can make the world a better place for everyone.

I find crafting a great user experience a fascinating, exciting process. Beautiful UX begins with research, and is built with strategy, empathy, and a passion for optimization. It is where business goals and consumer goals meet, and where mutual success is made a genuine goal.
Identifying and understanding who we are speaking to with our products and strategies is a crucial first step; without knowing what our audience wants and needs, we run the risk of just talking to ourselves. Years of sales experience have trained me to prioritize advocating for users.
My passion and enthusiasm for analytics analysis knows no bounds. I genuinely enjoy exploring how visitors come to and interact with websites, and digging through data for insight and opportunity can be an illuminating experience for both me and my clients.
The realm of digital business can be understandably intimidating. It is technical, full of acronyms, and constantly evolving. I take pride in the work I do, and believe that helpful, clear communication and client understanding of that strategy is crucial to its value.
